Graphic Design - Visual Storytelling
My career started as a graphic designer with a focus in print production. I’ve worked with a wide range of products but the end goal has always been showing the product as beautifully as possible, with a story that the customer can understand. Even agricultural wheels have looked great with my photo-styling skills! Creating the best customer experience is the common theme in graphic design, product development and visual merchandising. Effectively communicating a compelling story is how you help fill a customer’s needs!
Sonoma Women’s Apparel
Concept Presentation
The graphic designer in me is always excited to create and narrate a visual preview of what the design intent. While working on the Sonoma women’s apparel design team, I especially enjoyed the development process and ultimately, creating these presentations. In addition to the color palettes, the print & pattern direction and mood boards, I was able to tell a story and create a theme for each season. I used this roadmap to ensure we stayed on track throughout the development process.
Sonoma Home Decor
Concept Presentation
My apparel presentations, as shown above, helped get me noticed by the home decor team, opening the door for me to pivot from the apparel design team to designing the Sonoma brand home decor & fragrance collections. I loved working on these collections and gained a new level of confidence. Storytelling at the concept stage comes naturally to me; the entire process leads to a cohesive look or trend that truly tells a story. Craftsmanship, artisan made goods and products with purpose are areas in which I excel.
